We had a bear cub show up in town that had climbed up a tree next to the senior center. Fish and game tranquilized him and got him down out of the tree. They took him to a woman in Garden Valley who raises abandoned/orphaned young until they're ready to be on their own. So he'll be fine now.
Fish and Game said that food is scarce this year due to the extreme heat and no rain so the sows are kicking their cubs out. Poor little guy. I worry for the rest of them that can't fend for themselves and might starve to death.
